The Foothills Bicycle Club is a loose association of active senior cyclists who spend the winter season in the Yuma area. From November through April each winter season we have four scheduled rides per week – on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The Sunday and Tuesday rides start from the Foothills Library and are shorter and at a relaxed social pace (average 12-13 mph – 25 miles in length). On Thursday and Saturday the rides are usually at a higher pace (13-17 mph) and are longer distance (35-45 miles). These rides start at Los Amigos / Southern Sands community.
The scheduled ride on the first Saturday of each month is a Century, meaning a ride of either 100 miles or 100km – routes and starting times will vary based on the weather or the month.
